BALCANS MAGAZINE URBAN ART AND CULTURE MAGAZINE

Welcome to Balcans coming from the Balkans. We have some great stuff to show you! It’s our new magazine bridging your world with that of graffiti, street art and urban culture from all Balkan countries, and some extra.

A daring attempt it is, as Balcans is the first graffiti magazine published in Bulgaria. Thus, having no predecessor or tradition to guide us, we will be feeling the trends and exploring past and present as we please.

Our first feature is the artist Nasimo from Bulgaria. Not only is he one of the first Bulgarian graffiti writers, but is among the few who have succeeded in making graffiti both their true vocation and lifestyle. His portfolio reveals participation in several solo and numerous collective exhibitions in his country and around the world. Constantly on the road, he is sought by more and more festival organizers as a guest artist at their big international events. Meanwhile, this has taken him on a challenging path to new lands and walls.

One of the graffiti artists who hold a special place in our first issue is Leon (MCT, CP5 and YUGO80’s crews) from Belgrade, Serbia. He has been hitting local walls in and out of his home country for many years. Certainly an artist who has real style in letters.

Turkey is represented by Weak from S2K. Weak is a very young artist, yet over a relatively short time he has revealed before many his genuine style in photorealistic characters. An artist who has a future.

Yes, we display here our best catch from Balkans. However, we will keep our pages open for any artist around the world who is willing to join.
